3D printed jet engine
Aug 07th, 2019 | by: Likely AECategory: Electronics Basic Circuits

Designing and currently testing a 3D printed jet engine.
Will provide calculations and workings out of how I did it if enough people want to know. Runs on propane but currently in testing phase. Predicted maximum speed is 59000rpm, generating 14.6N of thrust if I can get it to self sustain.
Had problems with fuel supply but now that is fixed, the bearings are destroying themselves from the speeds and the heat.
Design based on this guy as well as Kurt Schreckling's books about gas turbine engines.
