I did not find where to do do my presentation , then I decided to do it there

I am a french man, my hobby is to build gyroplanes in my garage !

gyroplanes are the ancestors of helicopter, they are moved forward by a normal propeller and their rotor spins by itsef (without any transmission from the engine).

gyroplanes are taking off like fixed wing aircrafts rolling on the runway until it's speed and rotor rpm is enough to take off, but before starting to roll the rotor must be pre-rotated up to 220 RPM

I built a brushless pre-rotator..

but it required so much power to start spinning a 9 m long rotor (the blades weight 37 kilos) that I have burnt the 180 amp 14S ESC controller ..

then I need to use a more powerful one (350 amp or so)

so I am wondering if I could built one

I have watched the NOOB tutorial, but I need help to understand all of this ..

I am able to play with arduinos, but not with brushless motors and osciloscopes etc ..

This is a huge project and very cool! Also, 180A ESC is a lot! You need powerfull MOSFETs or maybe better IGBTs. Also you need to place a lot of them in paralel so they can work with more power. The ESC tutorial is here:https://electronoobs.io/tutorial/1

 it's pre-rotator is purely mechanic, on the second one the pre-rotator needs to be electric ..
whe are speaking of a 8000w brusless ... 14S lipos (2X 7S packs) 56v ..

the rotor being heavy it is difficult to start the rotation and counter act the inertia .. this when it sucks the more amps
